CE OPEN CALL - SURE 5.0 - Acceleration Programme for the Transition to Industry 5.0

Are you an SME operating in the European Mobility, Transport & Automotive (MTA), Aerospace & Defence, and Electronics manufacturing value chains? Do you need to digitally transform your production process to become more sustainable, resilient and human-centric, but don’t have enough resources or knowledge for that? If so, look no further, because the EU-funded SURE5.0 project can support you with more than EUR 2.6 million in cascade funding complemented with tailored services, accessible through the application to our two Acceleration Programmes.

CE OPEN CALL - NGI0 Zero Core - Internet advances

We want a more resilient, trustworthy and open internet. We want to empower end-users. Given the speed at which the 'twin transition' is taking place, we need a greener internet and more sustainable services sooner rather than later. Neither will happen at global scale without protocol evolution, which — as the case of three decades of IPv6 introduction demonstrates — is extremely challenging. NGI0 Core is designed to push beyond the status quo and create a virtuous cycle of innovation through free and open source software, libre hardware and open standards. If we want everyone to use and benefit from the internet to its full potential without holding back, the internet must be built on strong and transparent technologies that allow for permissionless innovation and are equally accessible to all.

CE OPEN CALL - 6G-Sandbox - Architectural and technological network evolutions

The purpose of the open call is twofold. OPTION 1 – New infrastructures and functionalities (extensions): Enlarge and make the 6G-SANDBOX experimental infrastructure ready for advanced experimentation in upcoming project open calls for experimentation. New 6G features and functionalities should be integrated into the 6G-SANDBOX infrastructure. OPTION 2 – Innovative experiments: Initiate first funded innovative experiments on the 6G-SANDBOX infrastructure. Innovative 6G use cases and KPI measurements are expected to use the 6G-SANDBOX infrastructure.

CE OPEN CALL - Target-X - 5G and 6G integration in key economic sectors

TARGET-X is a project the European Commission co-funded from the HORIZON EUROPE Programme. It is coordinated by FRAUNHOFER Gesellschaft Zur Forderung Der Angewandten Forschung Ev with the participation of 14 Consortium Partners from 6 countries. Their mission is to strengthen important economic sectors in Europe by integrating 5G and 6G, accelerating the digital transformation.

CE OPEN CALL - STAGE - Assisting the transition to sustainability

The Programme will grant up to 50 000 EUR per selected SME for two types of activities: - Development of an investment project plan; - Additional services, if needed for the investment plan preparation, such as: Feasibility study; Technology audit; Due diligence analysis; Data collection and analysis for carbon footprint assessment; Prototyping; Pilot testing; Pilot demonstrating; Adaptation of business processes; Support to use testing facilities; Procurement of other specialized consultancy and coaching services related to investment plan preparation.

Sector Data Spaces Programme

Sectoral Data Spaces is a programme of the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) that aims to promote the development of data space projects in strategic sectors of the economy. This initiative is in line with the European Data Strategy, the Data Governance Act and the achievement of the Single Data Market.

EUREKA OPEN CALL - Eurostars Funding Programme

Eurostars is part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs. The partnership is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe. Eurostars is a funding instrument that supports innovative SMEs and project partners (large companies, universities, research organisations and other types of organisations) by funding international collaborative R&D and innovation projects. By participating, organisations can access public funding for international collaborative R&D projects in all fields. To have a successful Eurostars application you must: - Define your project idea. - Collaborate internationally, sharing expertise. - Develop products, processes or services that can be easily commercialised.

CE - Open Source for Cloud/Edge to support European Digital Autonomy (RIA)

Projects are expected to contribute to both of the following outcomes: - Prototypes of cloud and edge servers demonstrated in relevant centralised and distributed environments and allowing full computing infrastructure deployments based on European processor technology, thereby establishing a full Open Computing Architecture stack, which supports emerging processing architectures (e.g. RISC-V). - Standards and best practices consolidating the European Open Computing Architecture, as well as its interfaces to current industry standards. Scope: Proposals should facilitate the emergence of a full European Open Cloud and Edge Computing Architecture by - Developing open source alternatives to enable the physical use of emerging processors in cloud and edge server systems. Such modules include basic input/output systems, pre-boot execution environments, power-on authentication, etc., supporting heterogeneous processor architectures, and - Demonstrating actual cloud and edge systems in real life or emulated computing environments exploiting the benefits of an extended open source stack (socket to application) on emerging processor architectures (e.g. RISC-V). Research should interface with relevant existing standards and contribute to standardisation where appropriate. Proposals should include a clear business case and exploitation strategy. Proposals are expected to develop synergies and relate to activities and outcomes of the KDT/Chips and the EuroHPC Joint Undertakings, the European Processor Initiative and the European RISC-V working group. They should complement the development of European HW and related low-level software as done under the KDT and EuroHPC JUs, to make these exploitable for cloud and edge servers and make use of previous developments under Horizon Europe.
